Infrastructure reimagined

McMillian Historic District

Overview
As part of the entitlement process, Interface created a comprehensive set of illustrations and animations to communicate the project to key stakeholders.
McMillan Sand Filtration Site is a twenty-five acre decommissioned water treatment plant in northwest Washington, D.C. adjacent to the McMillan Reservoir. Interface worked to establish a brand for the development, an extension of the Bloomingdale and Stronghold neighborhoods. Interface worked with Free Space Collective to develop a community photography project that currently wraps the site in banner form.
