McMillan Historic District Visualization

McMillan Historic District Visualization

Interface created both architectural renderings and a series of animations for the redevelopment of the McMillan Historic District, now know as the Reservoir District.

McMillan Sand Filtration Site is a twenty-five acre decommissioned water treatment plant in northwest Washington, D.C. adjacent to the McMillan Reservoir. In this phase of work, Interface developed a comprehensive 3D project model to combine 5 architects design and planning efforts into a series of overall illustrations and animations used in an exhaustive entitlement process.

Short films and illustrations were created at multiple moments in the design and entitlement of the project to communicate the design to neighbors and city officials. Our work on the early branding of the McMillan Historic District and community engagement banners around the site can be seen here.
