Strategy & Brand

Positioning and identity systems that decide how a project competes, communicates, and is remembered.

How we work

Brand work at IFMM starts with the position, not the logo. We define what a project stands for in language clear enough to be a brief, then build outward: identity, voice, signage, sales materials, the way the work is shown to investors and tenants. Every artifact answers the same positioning question, whether it's the identity system or the sales gift left on a broker's desk.

"A brand that survives the launch deck is the only one worth building."

For developers, that means a brand built to survive 18 months of leasing, three rounds of capital, a building opening, and the press cycle that follows it. We design for that whole stretch, from the entitlement meeting to the tenant's first day in the space.

About Strategy & Brand

What does an integrated brand strategy include for a real estate or AEC project?

expand_more
An integrated brand strategy starts with positioning and competitive analysis, then builds outward into naming, messaging, visual identity, and collateral systems. For real estate and AEC clients, that means aligning the brand to the project lifecycle: pre-development positioning, construction, lease-up, stabilization. We define how a project competes in its market, who it speaks to, and what it communicates at every stage. What comes out is a positioning system—one that connects the identity to your digital platform, your visualization assets, and everything you publish after launch.

How is branding for real estate different from general corporate branding?

expand_more
Real estate branding runs on a project timeline. The identity has to work before anything is built, then hold through construction, and still make sense at lease-up or sale. The audience shifts too, from the investors and stakeholders in the room early on to the tenants and buyers who show up once there's something to lease. For over 30 years we've built brand systems across developer, AEC, and institutional work, which is why the process accounts for those phase changes from day one, tied to visualization and the digital platform from the first sketch.

Can Interface Multimedia handle both strategy and creative execution?

expand_more
Yes. Strategy & Brand covers the full arc: research and competitive analysis through naming, identity design, style guides, signage, marketing collateral. We operate as one integrated practice, so the strategists who define your positioning sit next to the designers, developers, and visualization artists who build it out. Split those functions across separate firms and something usually gets lost in the handoff between them.

What types of collateral and brand deliverables do you produce?

expand_more
Brand deliverables range from the foundational systems—logo, identity style guide, naming, taglines, messaging frameworks—to the applied materials: brochures, pitch books, proposal templates, signage, project gifts, marketing collateral. For real estate projects we also produce branded renderings, website systems, and digital campaigns that carry the identity to every touchpoint. We've run more than 2,000 projects through this process, which is mostly why the deliverable list keeps getting longer instead of shorter.

How early in a project should we engage on brand strategy?

expand_more
We push to start during pre-development or entitlement, when positioning decisions shape how a project gets presented to investors, community stakeholders, and approval bodies. Bring us in early and your visualization, website, and marketing materials share one direction from day one, before any of them have had the chance to drift apart. The four-phase process we run—Define, Build, Communicate, Optimize—starts at concept and carries through the full project lifecycle.
